Bradley Richardson

After yesterday's trip down memory lane with Andrew Garner, we welcome you to our third edition of fan stories. This time we speak to Bradley Richardson from Dewsbury and discuss Simon Grayson, David Wagner and all things in between. Enjoy!

So, when did you first start supporting Huddersfield Town?

"I first started supporting Huddersfield Town when I was 6 years old when my Grandad took me to a game"

Are you Huddersfield born and bred?

I was born in a place close to Huddersfield (Dewsbury)

Do you remember your first game? The result, the atmosphere or the overall experience?

"I cant really remember my first game, but I do remember that there wasn’t many people there and we were playing Dagenham and Redbridge. It goes to show how far the club has progressed through the years, and it’s all thanks to David Wagner, the best manager to manage Huddersfield in my lifetime, no one comes close.

Although I’d say Simon Grayson was the second best manager in my lifetime, as he got us from League One to the Championship.

Give us your favourite starting 11 made up of all the players you’ve seen in blue & white.

Our squad is looking great at the moment, a lot of International players coming in, and we are now battling for players with some of Europe’s elite. My favourite starting eleven from over the years has to be this though;

GK - Jonas Lossl LB - Terence Kongolo CB - Cristopher Schindler CB - Peter Clarke RB - Florent Hadergjonaj LW - Rajiv Van La Parra (controversial) RW - Elias Kachunga CM - Aaron Mooy CM - Alex Pritchard ST - Jordan Rhodes ST - Laurent Depoitre (for his work ethic)

What would you say makes Huddersfield’s fans and the club unique?

There is a long list of things that make Huddersfield Town unique, one of the biggest factors is the fans and game atmosphere, this is essential for Premier League football as we act as a 12th player and help the players strive for the win.

Can you tell us your worst memory supporting Town?

My worst memory from supporting Huddersfield Town has to be losing the Play-Off final at Old Trafford against Peterborough, we underestimated them and we were dealt a heavy blow.

What one thing are you afraid of for the future of Huddersfield?

The one thing I’m afraid of is David Wagner leaving, he is our legacy and we owe so much to him.

What would your dream season be?

Although life couldn’t get much better as a Town fan, my dream season would be to win the league as dark horses and win it with a last minute goal scored by either Jonathan Hogg or Rajiv Van La Parra to shut the haters up.

At the end of the day we are a TEAM and we must stick together in order to achieve greatness.
