After two defeats in a row Town bounced back in battling fashion against Derby to show that they had the mettle required for a prolonged promotion push. After dominating large periods of the game it seemed as though David Wagner's men would have to settle for a draw.
Then in the 93rd minute a deep cross from Harry Bunn found the head of Elias Kachunga who made no mistake from close range. That goal sparked wild celebrations with David Wagner racing down the touchline to celebrate with his jubilant players.
October 24th, 2015: Huddersfield Town 1 Derby County 2 - Sky Bet Championship
Goals from Chris Martin and George Thorne sealed a narrow 2-1 win for promotion chasing Derby against Chris Powell's Huddersfield. Harry Bunn scored the only goal of the day for Town, but flat cap wearing cockney gaffer Powell thought his side deserved more after being denied a penalty.
The former Charlton manager summed up one of the main problems with his reign at Huddersfield Town when after the match he said;
"I felt we had a good shout for a penalty but there's no disgrace losing to Derby. The gulf between the squads is obvious but we are in this league on merit. Taking points off the likes of Brighton and Derby are bonus points."

Steve Mclaren's side came into this game on the back of a seven-match winning run and when Joel Lynch conceded a penalty in the 26th minute, it looked likely that Derby would stretch their run to eight games.
Alex Smithies dived low to his left to keep out the spot-kick, yet still found himself picking the ball out of the net 4 minutes later. Craig Bryson tapped in from close range to send Derby into the lead, which they looked like keeping for the rest of the match.
Fortunately for Town Martin Paterson came to the rescue with a sumptuous lob in the dying embers of the game.
