Man United Player Ratings

Lössl : 6/10

Strangely, the Danish 'keeper didn't have too much to do in the game. Perhaps his positioning could have been better for Lukaku's opener, but overall he had a decent game/

Hadergjonaj : 8/10

The young Swiss was a constant thorn in the side of United and provided excellent width for Town. Was unlucky that one of his dangerous cutbacks didn't result in a goal.

Jorgensen : 6/10

Possibly a bit slow off the mark for the first United goal but did everything else with applomb.

Schindler : 7/10

Sold a dummy by Lukaku early on but recovered well to have a positive impact on the game. Handsome as usual too.

Kongolo : 8/10

Wow, what a performance from the youngster. He was strong and full-blooded, never shied out of a challenge and looked dangerous going forward.

Williams : 8/10

Lost his man for the first goal but provided real steel in midfield and was named man of the match by the BT commentators.

Billing : 7/10

The only blot on his copy book was losing the ball before United sprung for their second. Other than that the imposing Dane performed very well, always providing a passing outlet and dictating the tempo well.

Ince : 7/10

Again looked dangerous on the ball and always willing to run his man, but he'll be very disappointed at squandering two terrific scoring chances.

Quaner : 6/10

Early bluster and threatening runs were good, but he tired towards the end of the game and gave the ball away one too many times for my liking.

Van La Parra : 7/10

Industrious and imaginative though he was, he rarely managed to free himself of his marker and get into dangerous areas.

Mounie : 6/10

A very disappointing performance from Mounié considering his exploits last week. A few heavy clashes with Chris Smalling early on seemed to effect his confidence

Smith : 6/10

Gave cover to the tiring Quaner late on and did well whenever he had the ball in the offensive third.

Malone : 6/10

Likewise, he did well when he came on although the game felt very much over at that point.

Sabiri : 5/10

Perhaps a harsh score to give, but he had one opportunity from a corner as soon as he came on and spurned it. Otherwise, didn't have enough time to impose himself.

The Gaffer : 9/10

Again Wagner impressed by keeping us true to our identity. It was a joy to watch a Town side really take the game to Manchester United. Although they felt short ultimately, it gives us optimism for the future.
